Dr. Nitish Kumar is currently working as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden. His research focuses on the development of advanced electrode materials for rechargeable batteries (lithium, sodium, and zinc) and hybrid energy storage systems, with emphasis on materials design, electrochemical mechanisms, and performance optimization relevant to sustainable energy technologies. Dr. Kumar received his PhD in Physics with specialization in energy storage materials, following undergraduate and master’s training in physics and materials science. He has extensive experience with carbon-based materials, metal oxides, porous and hybrid nanostructures, and their application in lithium-ion, sodium-ion, and alternative metal-ion batteries, as well as electrochemical capacitors. Dr. Kumar has authored and co-authored peer-reviewed research and review articles in international journals, contributing to the fields of battery materials, electrochemical energy storage, nanostructured electrodes, and advanced functional materials, with an emphasis on mechanistic understanding, reproducibility, and materials-to-device relevance.
