Orkan Özcan is an Associate Professor at the Eurasia Institute of Earth Sciences, Istanbul Technical University. He completed his PhD studies in Satellite Communication and Remote Sensing at Istanbul Technical University, and has been awarded a visiting research fellowship at the Department of Geography, University of California, Santa Barbara. He has contributed to various interdisciplinary research projects involving remote sensing and environmental modeling. He has published numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals, and serves as a reviewer for international journals as well as a collaborator in national and international research projects. His teaching disciplines include remote sensing, GIS, and environmental monitoring, and his research interests include unmanned aerial systems, land surface processes, and hydrological and hydraulic modeling.
