I practiced as a hematologist and bone marrow transplant physician in China before moving to Australia in 2012 to undertake a postdoctoral position at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute. In 2020, I joined Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center as a Senior Staff Scientist and have recently returned to QIMR Berghofer as Senior Research Officer. I am adjunct associate professor of Queensland University of Technology. My research interests span experimental bone marrow transplantation, cell therapy, and clinically correlative studies, with a particular focus on immune regulation and immunotoxicity. More recently, I have expanded my work to include Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) T cell therapies, including the development of novel mouse models to investigate cytokine release syndrome.
