The demand for high-performance supercapacitors has driven extensive research into novel electrode materials with superior electrochemical properties. This study explores the supercapacitive behavior of quaternary CuNiCoZnO (CNCZO) films engineered into a three-dimensional (3D) flower-like morphology and developed on versatile substrates, including carbon cloth, stainless steel mesh, and nickel foam. The unique structural design, comprising interconnected nanosheets, enhances the electroactive surface area, facilitates ion diffusion, and improves charge storage capability. The synergistic effect of the multi-metallic composition contributes to remarkable electrochemical characteristics, including high specific capacitance, excellent rate capability, and outstanding cycling stability. Furthermore, the influence of different substrates on the electrochemical performance is systematically investigated to optimize material–substrate interactions. Electrochemical evaluations reveal outstanding specific capacitance values of 2318.5 F/g, 1993.7 F/g, and 2741.3 F/g at 2 mA/cm2 for CNCZO electrodes on stainless steel mesh, carbon cloth, and nickel foam, respectively, with capacitance retention of 77.3%, 95.7%, and 86.1% over 5000 cycles. Furthermore, a symmetric device of CNCZO@Ni exhibits a peak specific capacitance of 67.7 F/g at a current density of 4 mA/cm2, a power density of 717.4 W/kg, and an energy density of 25.6 Wh/kg, maintaining 84.5% stability over 5000 cycles. The straightforward synthesis of CNCZO on multiple substrates presents a promising route for the development of flexible, high-performance energy storage devices.

This study presents a comparative analysis of cobalt oxide (Co₃O₄) thin films synthesized via electrodeposition using two different alkaline reagents—ammonium hydroxide (NH₄OH) and sodium hydroxide (NaOH)—on stainless steel substrates. The film prepared with NH₄OH exhibited enhanced crystallinity, confirmed by sharper (311) XRD peaks, and a highly porous morphology favourable for charge transport. FTIR and XPS characterizations confirmed the successful formation of spinel Co₃O₄ and the appropriate oxidation states of cobalt. Electrochemical evaluation in 1 M KOH showed that the electrode synthesized using NH₄OH delivered a specific capacitance of 1323 F/g at 10 mV/s, while maintaining 95.74% of its capacitance after 2000 charge–discharge cycles. These findings highlight that the type of alkaline reagent plays a crucial role in tailoring the structural and electrochemical behaviour of Co₃O₄ thin films, offering a viable route to optimize electrodes for enhanced energy storage supercapacitor applications.

In this paper, we report the effect of filament radius and filament resistivity on the saturated temperature of ZnO, TiO2, WO3 and HfO2 Resistive Random Access Memory (RRAM) devices. We resort to the thermal reaction model of RRAM for the present analysis. The results substantiate decrease in saturated temperature with increase in the radius and resistivity of filament for the investigated RRAM devices. Moreover, a sudden change in the saturated temperature at a lower value of filament radius and resistivity is observed as against the steady change at the medium and higher value of the filament radius and resistivity. Results confirm the dependence of saturated temperature on the filament size and resistivity in RRAM.

In this paper, we demonstrate the synthesis of ZnFe2O4 nanostructures via a simple hydrothermal route. We have deposited ZnFe2O4 nanostructures on nickel foam substrate at different temperatures to study the correlation between temperature alteration and morphology variation of ZnFe2O4 nanostructures. Also, electrochemical studies were conducted to better understand the supercapacitive behaviour of the effect of temperature and morphology variation on the electrodes. The study consisted of ZnFe2O4 electrode material synthesized at four different temperatures and a change in morphology was monitored. ZnFe2O4 microspheres synthesized at 120℃ exhibit a maximum specific capacitance of 883 F/g at 5 mV/s in 1M KOH with an energy density of 113 Wh/kg and power density of 0.8 kW/kg and a cyclic stability upto 2000 cycles with a retention rate of 85%.
