Dr. Rajesh Kumar received a B.Tech. degree from NIT Kurukshetra, India, an M. Tech. degree in power systems, and a Ph.D. degree in intelligent systems MNIT, Jaipur. He was a Post-doctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore, from 2009 to 2011. Currently, he is working as a Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, MNIT, Jaipur. Dr. Kumar's research interests focus on intelligent systems, machine intelligence, power management, smart grids, and robotics. Dr. Kumar has published over 550 research articles. He has supervised 25 Ph.D. students and more than 35 M.Tech theses. He has 14 patents to his name. He received 3 academic awards, 12 best paper awards, 6 best thesis awards, 4 professional awards, and 25 student awards. He has received the Career Award for Young Teachers in 2002 from the Government of India, and is on 12 Journal Editorial Boards. He has been the Associate Editor of IEEE Access, IEEE ITeN (Industrial Electronics Technology News), Swarm and Evolutionary Computation, Elsevier, IET Renewable and Power Generation, IET Power Electronics, and the International Journal of Bio-Inspired Computing and CAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology, IET. Dr. Kumar is a Senior Member IEEE (USA), Fellow IET (UK), Fellow IE (INDIA), Fellow IETE, Life Member CSI, Senior Member IEANG, and Life Member IST.
