Prof. Rajai Al-Rousan was born in Jordan in 1977. Al-Rousan obtained his B.S. degree in 2000 and his M.S. degree in 2003 in structural engineering from the Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST). Al-Rousan then obtained his Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering/Structures in 2008 from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). Al-Rousan became an assistant professor in 2009 and was promoted to associate professor in 2014 and professor in 2019. He has published approximately 120 scholarly articles in the areas of structural engineering and concrete. His research interests mainly include repair and strengthening of structural members with CFRP composites, the shear behavior of beams, and finite element analysis. Prof. Al-Rousan is a member of the Jordanian Engineers Association.
