Biography

🌟 Hello! I’m Yagmur, a Research Engineer. My focus is on sustainability-driven innovations, process optimization, recycling, and simulation modeling, with a strong emphasis on cost-saving initiatives and impactful environmental solutions. 🌟 During my postdoctoral research at MIT, I pioneered eco-friendly solutions to tackle critical challenges in food safety and sustainability. I developed innovative antimicrobial films and biodegradable packaging to reduce food waste and replace microplastics. 🌟My PhD research at Texas A&M focused on designing smart antimicrobial agents and biodegradable materials to inhibit bacterial growth and extend the shelf life of perishable products, contributing to a more sustainable food system while addressing food insecurity. 🌟 My collaborative, forward-thinking research has led to over 30 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters. I’ve secured patents, elite certifications, and presented at more than 30 prestigious global conferences. These accomplishments underscore my dedication to advancing science and fostering sustainable innovations across disciplines.
