Dr. Ramin Hashemi is a Full Professor of Manufacturing Engineering at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST), where he also serves as the Director of Research Affairs. He earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tehran in 2013. His research expertise lies at the intersection of advanced metal forming, applied plasticity, and additive manufacturing. He has made significant contributions to the mechanics of sheet/tube hydroforming, severe plastic deformation (SPD) of metals and composites, formability analysis, and the design of auxetic structures using 3D printing and finite element simulation. His scholarly output includes over 155 peer-reviewed journal articles, which have garnered more than 5,850 citations, reflected in an h-index of 42 and an i10-index of 115. For six consecutive years (2020–present), Dr. Hashemi has been consistently ranked among the World's Top 2% Most-Cited Scientists (Elsevier/Stanford University). He has successfully secured major research grants from the Iranian National Science Foundation (INSF) and led over 15 high-impact industrial R&D projects valued in excess of $150,000 USD. His commitment to technology transfer is evidenced by multiple patents and the founding of a technology start-up company within the IUST Science and Technology Park. He has mentored over 55 graduate students to completion and has received national awards for both his research and distinguished teachi
