Dr. Javeed has been working as Assistant Professor (TTS) at the Department of Environmental Sciences since 2014. He is working on soil carbon sequestration and biochar application for sustainable food security. Moreover, he also focuses his research activities on environmental plant physiology, environmental interactions with environmental parameters (temperature and drought and minerals), photo-oxidative stresses, phyto-cellular interactions, and nutrient management under stress conditions. His research studies are based on greenhouse, nutrient solutions, and field studies. He is also working on two national-level research projects funded by the Higher Education Commission, Pakistan, and has completed three small national research grants. The outcome of his research is to develop cost-effective techniques for plant stress management methods for sustainable food security.
