Remy Jonkam Oben is a Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) with a distinguished academic and professional profile spanning Accounting, Finance, Banking, Econometrics, and Business Administration. He holds the ACCA certification, a Bachelor's Degree (Hons) in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University (UK), and a Master's Degree in Banking and Finance from Eastern Mediterranean University (Northern Cyprus), where he graduated with a perfect CGPA of 4.00/4.00. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD in Business Administration at Near East University, Northern Cyprus. Additionally, he completed an Advanced Econometrics course at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) during the 2023 Summer School session. His research interests include Financial Technology (FinTech); Decentralized Finance (DeFi); Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC); Financial Market Connectedness; Portfolio Optimization and Hedging Effectiveness; Sustainable Development; and The Blue Economy. He has published several research papers in international reputable journals indexed in the Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus, and has authored book chapters. He has presented his research at several international conferences and serves as a reviewer for international journals. With four years of university-level teaching experience, his core competencies include financial market trading, teaching, and conducting research.
