Rongming Xu is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the School of the Environment, Nanjing University, under the supervision of Prof. Bingcai Pan. He obtained his Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from Nanjing University in 2024, mentored by Prof. Weiming Zhang and Prof. Xiwang Zhang. His research focuses on the development of ion separation membranes, ion confined transport mechanisms, and recovery of metal resources from aquatic environments. He has been selected for the Yuxiu Young Scholars Program at Nanjing University and the China Postdoctoral Innovative Talent Support Program. He has also received several prestigious awards, including the Shanghai Tongji Gaotingyao “Outstanding Young Doctoral Student Talent Scholarship” and the ORGANO Water Prize.
