Biography

My research integrates biomaterials, tissue engineering, and cell–matrix interactions with a focus on bone regeneration. During my Ph.D., I developed multifunctional polymer-based nanocomposite scaffolds incorporating bioactive ceramics and growth factors to promote osteogenesis. I further advanced this work as a postdoctoral fellow, designing biodegradable and collagen-based matrices with in situ mineralization strategies to mimic native bone ECM and enhance mechanical integrity. My current research explores how the mechanical properties of engineered scaffolds regulate stem cell differentiation and bone tissue formation. I am particularly interested in designing tunable 3D microenvironments and using biophysical tools to study mechanotransduction in osteogenic cells. My long-term goal is to establish a translational research program that combines materials engineering, mechanobiology, and regenerative medicine to develop therapeutic strategies for bone and connective tissue repair.
