Dr. Ryan Miller is a senior ecologist with United States Department of Agriculture Center for Epidemiology and Animal Health (CEAH). He received a Ph.D. in Zoology. He is broadly interested in quantitative landscape and population ecology, with special interests in disease ecology. Specifically, he is interested in the mechanisms that drive contact and transmission of pathogens at the wildlife-livestock interface. Further he is interested in how quantitative tools can be used to inform policy decisions to mitigate disease transmission. Systems he has studied include the cervid-cattle interface, feral swine-livestock interface, and wild bird-domestic fowl interface.
