Currently employed as Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, NSHM Knowledge Campus, Kolkata. Actively engaged in research on development and characterisation of natural and synthetic polymer-based drug delivery systems via various routes of administration, modeling of drug release kinetics, with keen interest on nanotechnology and herbal formulations. Published over 90 research and review articles, books, book chapters, with few editorial assignments. Actively involved with Frontiers in Nutrition as Associate Editor and presently reviewing Carbohydrate Polymers, Int J Biol Macromol., Mat Letters, Frontiers in Pharmacology, Arabian J Chemistry etc
