Dr. Swarup Roy is currently working as an Associate Professor at the Department of Food Technology and Nutrition, Lovely Professional University. Previously, he worked at the School of Bioengineering and Food Technology, Shoolini University, India. Dr. Roy previously worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the BioNanocomposite Research Center, Kyung Hee University, Seoul, and Inha University, South Korea. He also worked as a research associate at IIT Indore. His current research work is focused on the preparation and application of biopolymer-based functional composite material for active and smart packaging applications. Dr. Roy has published over 200 peer-reviewed research articles including research papers, reviews, and book chapters with an h-index of 59 (Scopus,). He also served as an editorial board member of Packaging Technology of Science, Materials, International Journal of Biomaterials, International Journal of Food Science, and the Journal of Food Quality. Dr. Roy also edits Special Issues for the International Journal of Molecular Science, Polymers, Materials, Journal of Composite Science, Frontiers in Nanotechnology, and the Journal of Nanomaterials and Coatings.
