Generally, my research activities and interests focus on using geophysics techniques (e.g. electrical resistivity, gravity, magnetic and GPR) to investigate a variety of environmental problems (surface and subsurface) such as water-logging, groundwater resource mapping and clay layer subsidence phenomena. Additionally, i am interested in the application of integrated geophysical and remote sensing tools for addressing hydrological problems, exploration for groundwater, monitoring land deformations, and sustainable utilization of aquifers in arid regions. The importance of studying groundwater in arid regions has increased in recent decades due to the progressive increase in population in such areas world-wide. I am also particularly interested in the environmental geology. Environment in its broadest sense refers to surrounding conditions, influences, or forces, by which living forms are influenced and modified in their growth and development. In this respect, environmental geology is a very appealing topic to study and to practice.
