I am a critical psychologist whose work examines how knowledge systems and social contexts shape inequality. My research focuses on violence, language, and knowledge production in psychology and academic publishing.
I hold a PhD in Psychology from the University of Cape Town and completed postdoctoral research in Political Science and Gender Studies at Stellenbosch University. My early work on gender-based violence, citizenship, identity, and HIV/AIDS in Southern Africa informs my broader work on structural harm, epistemic justice, and the politics of psychological practice.
Based in Mexico City, I am the Executive Editor of Psicología Iberoamericana, a diamond open-access journal at Universidad Iberoamericana, where I work on peer review, editorial practice, and open-access scholarly publishing. I am also an associate editor of the journal Sage Open.
I teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in work psychology, trauma and emergency psychology in English and Spanish.
