Shellie A. Boudreau is an Associate Professor at the Center for Neuroplasticity and Pain (CNAP), SMI, Department of Health Science and Technology, Aalborg University, Denmark. Her research interests are motor learning and neurophysiology pain mechanisms. Most recently, her focus is on designing, developing, and utilizing visual analytic tools to understand and explore pain distribution and discomfort across diseases and conditions. She is the inventor of Navigate Pain™, a digital body mapping tool. Through this, she pioneers and tests new metrics and analytic approaches to help identify and quantify patterns of bodily pain and discomfort. She aims to help clarify the driving mechanisms of pain by designing and developing electronic patient-reported outcomes and software technology to support big-data studies. Shellie has a peer-reviewed track record within musculoskeletal pain, cortical neuroplasticity, and eHealth. She is honoured for teaching excellence and is one of the first recipients of a Talent Management Grant from Aalborg University, Denmark. An additional research path investigates the influences of pain and attention on cortical neuroplasticity and learning.
