Dawei Shen, Ph.D. Associate Researcher & Master’s Supervisor, Center for Intelligent Design of Green Civil Aircraft, Tianmu Mountain Laboratory (Zhejiang Provincial Laboratory of Aeronautics) Dr. Shen received his Doctoral degree in Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation from Beihang University in 2022. He conducted postdoctoral research at Zhejiang University and Zhejiang Tsinghua Institute of Flexible Electronics Technology from 2022 to 2024, before joining Tianmu Mountain Laboratory in November 2024. His primary research interests cover MEMS micro-nano sensing, airborne intelligent wind field perception for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), intelligent skins, as well as multi-sensor fusion perception and control algorithms for UAVs. He has published more than ten papers in international journals including Microsystems & Nanoengineering, Advanced Intelligent Systems, Smart Materials and Structures and Journal of Bionic Engineering, and filed eight invention patents. He presides over one independent research project supported by the State Key Laboratory of Flexible Electronics Technology of Tsinghua University and participates in multiple thematic and key projects funded by the Military Science and Technology Commission of China. The flexible biomimetic cilia airflow sensor developed by his team has been applied to distributed flow field perception on UAV wing surfaces, and the relevant achievement was featured in a video report under Nature Portfolio (Nature journal series)
