Dr. Soroth Chey is a highly experienced virologist and biochemist dedicated to advancing translational cancer research. With a Ph.D. summa cum laude in Virology from the University of Leipzig, his career spans over 15 years at the intersection of basic science and clinical application. His core expertise lies in reverse genetics systems for RNA viruses, notably measles virus, where he has established and optimized platforms to efficiently generate and engineer recombinant oncolytic viruses. Dr. Chey further specializes in developing complex ex vivo models, including organotypic slice cultures, to study viral tropism and therapy efficacy in a tissue-like environment. His recent work in Transfusion Medicine has equipped him with robust skills in GMP-compliant process validation and the development of cell-based therapeutics, providing a unique perspective on the entire translational pipeline from viral vector design to clinical-grade production. Driven by a passion for innovation, Dr. Chey aims to leverage his comprehensive skill set to develop novel immunotherapies for hematological malignancies.
