Dr. Sumyya Waliullah is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at Alcorn State University. Her research focuses on molecular biology, host–microbe interactions, molecular diagnostics, and biotechnology, with particular expertise in rapid pathogen detection using LAMP, qPCR, and sequencing technologies. She is actively engaged in research, teaching, student mentoring, and interdisciplinary collaborations.
