Dr. Tamás Körtési received BSc and MSc degrees in Biology and later completed an MSc in Nutritional Sciences. He obtained his PhD with summa cum laude distinction at the Doctoral School of Clinical Medicine, University of Szeged, within the Experimental Neuroscience Program. His research focuses on headache disorders, particularly migraine. He began his scientific career with preclinical studies investigating migraine-related mechanisms in experimental animal models and has since expanded his work toward clinical research. For nearly a decade, he has been involved in studies examining molecular biomarkers of migraine, translational headache research, and personalized medicine approaches. His current research interests include neuroinflammatory mechanisms, neuropeptide signaling, and the kynurenine pathway in headache disorders. He is also interested in the role of nutrition and the gut-brain axis in neurological diseases, particularly headache disorders, and their potential relevance for biomarker discovery and personalized therapeutic strategies.
