Tilahun Ayane Debele received his Ph.D. from the Graduate Institute of Applied science and technology, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Taiwan, in 2017. He then moved to the National Yang Ming University as a postdoctoral fellow working with Professor Chun-Liang Lo for two years. In 2019, he joined the Laboratory of DNA Repair and Antioxidant Stress in Oncology in the Institute if Clinical Medicine, at National Cheng Kung University as a postdoctoral fellow under the supervision of Prof. Wen-pin Su. His research area is mainly focused on the synthesis and characterization of stimuli-sensitive nanocarriers to improve the therapeutic efficacy of anticancer drugs. His PhD dissertation and postdoctoral research are concentrated on the synthesis of a stimuli sensitive biocompatible nanoparticles based on natural and synthetic polymers, such as GSH sensitive polymeric micelles, pH and GSH sensitive nanogels, liposome, lipopolyplex, to enhance chemotherapeutic efficacy and photodynamic therapy. Furthermore, Dr Tilahun taught medical biochemistry course to postgraduate and undergraduate students and also serve as a research advisor for undergraduate and graduate students in the departments of Medical Biochemistry, College of Medicine and Health Science, University of Gondar, Ethiopia. He is also actively engaged in public outreach and other activities.
