Umberto Grande is a PhD student at the Academia Copernicana Doctoral School of Nicolaus Copernicus University (Torun, Poland) and a double degree student at the University of Naples Parthenope (Italy). His research focuses on the role of matter and energy flows exchange in ecosystem functioning, with a particular emphasis on the assessment of natural capital and ecosystem services. His interests include environmental accounting, ecosystem accounting, ecological modeling, marine ecosystems, fishery resources, Posidonia oceanica, and sustainable development.
