Valentina Domenici is an Associate Professor of Physical Chemistry at the University of Pisa (Italy). Her expertise is related to the physical chemistry of soft matter (such as liquid crystals, liquid crystalline elastomers, and composites), spectroscopy applied to food and agricultural products, NMR, and chemistry education. She teaches on several undergraduate courses, such as Introduction to Spectroscopy, Chemistry Education for Future Chemistry Teachers, History of Chemistry, and Physical Chemistry of Soft Matter. She has published more than 150 papers and reviews in international peer-reviewed journals, along with writing several books and making more than 20 contributions to books written by others. She is very active in science dissemination, communication of chemistry, and hands-on laboratories in informal contexts, such as museums.
