Valery A Petrenko graduated from Moscow State University,
U.S.S.R (1972); received Ph.D. and D.Sc. degrees in chemistry from the Zelinski
Institute of Organic Chemistry (1976) and Moscow State University, U.S.S.R
(1988), Honor Ranks of Senior Scientist in Bioorganic Chemistry (1984) and
became a Professor in Molecular Biology (1992) from the Supreme Attestation Committee of
the U.S.S.R. He is a Professor in the Department of Pathobiology at Auburn
University. His major research interests focus on targeted drug and gene
delivery; cancer nanomedicines; the diagnosis of infectious diseases and cancer;
phage display and phage nanobiotechnology; engineered reconstruction of genes,
proteins and microorganisms.
