Dr. Vassiliki Markogianni is a
Research Associate at the Institute of Marine Biological Resources and Inland
Waters, Hellenic Centre for Marine Research, Attica, Greece. She obtained her
B.Sc. in Environmental Management and Natural Resources from the University of
Ioannina (UOI) in 2007, and her M.Sc. in Geoinformatics in Natural Resources
and Ph.D. from the Agricultural University of Athens (AUA) in 2010 and 2023,
respectively. Dr. Markogianni’s research focuses on Environmental Monitoring
and Management, Environmental Water Resources Management, Integrated River/Lake
basin management, GIS applications, and Aerial/Satellite Remote Sensing. She
has participated in more than 20 national, international and European Union
(EU) projects.
