Prof. Dr. Vassilis Stathopoulos is a Chemist and Head of the Laboratory of Chemistry and Materials Technology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. His research focuses on materials and coatings for energy and environmental applications and technologies including catalysis. He is author of >90 scientific publications, invited book and encyclopedia chapters, patents and several technical papers in the private sector, where he headed research activities as well as accredited laboratory testing services. He has coordinated and participated in more than 25 R&D projects funded by the EU as well as the state and industry.
