Verónica Rodríguez-López is a full-time professor of Natural Products Chemistry and Pharmacognosy since 2000 at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Autonomous University of the State of Morelos, Mexico. Dr. Rodríguez obtained her Ph.D. degree in 2000 from the Technical University of Denmark and her Master of Science degree in Pharmacy-Pharmaceutical Chemistry in 1991 from the Faculty of Chemistry of UNAM. She also earned her bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry Biology in 1990 from the same institution. She possesses extensive research experience of over twenty-five years in different institutions, notably at the Faculty of Chemistry of UNAM, the Department of Pharmacy of the National School of Biological Sciences of National Polytechnic Institute (IPN), and the Faculty of Pharmacy of UAEM. Her research group focuses on isolating and characterizing natural bioactive compounds of agrochemical and medicinal interest, with a primary focus on studying plants with antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and cytotoxic properties to contribute to the scientific understanding of Mexico's medicinal flora. Dr. Rodríguez received the Gabino Barreda medal from UNAM for her master's studies and obtained an honorable mention for her bachelor's thesis.
