In 2002 I finished my studies at the University of La Laguna (ULL) in Biology (Degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology) and joined the Department of Parasitology, Ecology and Genetics of the Faculty of Pharmacy-ULL to begin my PhD studies. Shortly after starting my PhD, the Institute of Tropical Diseases and Public Health of the Canary Islands (IUETSPC) was inaugurated, where I continued my work on my PhD thesis in the Department of Parasite Immunology. During the years of the Doctoral Thesis (2002-2007) I also participated as a collaborator of laboratory practices in the subjects of Biology and Geology (1st Bachillerato) and Biology (2nd Bachillerato) in the Colegio La Salle San Ildefonso. In July 2008 I read the Doctoral Thesis and in September I was hired as a teacher of ESO-BTO at Colegio La Salle San Ildefonso, where I have held the position of Professor of different subjects related to the branch of Health Sciences. I have finished my contractual relationship in December 2023 and since 12/04/2024 I am carrying out a post-doctoral stay in the IPNA-CSIC Macromolecule Biotechnology group (Dept. of Life and Earth Sciences). In January 2025 I started as a lecturer at the Instituto de Formación Profesional Sanitaria (Abad Serrador) in the subjects of General Physiopathology and Imaging Anatomy, in the modules of Oral and Dental Hygiene, Pathological Anatomy and Cytodiagnosis, Clinical and Biomedical Laboratory, Diagnostic Imaging and Radiotherapy and Dosimetry.
