(2007), Ph.D. (2010), and Habilitation (2021) at UNICAMP. His research focuses on the geodynamics, metamorphism, and metallogenesis of Precambrian terrains, with special emphasis on the study of manganese and cobalt deposits. Dr. Amaral integrates field geology, petrography, geochemistry, and geochronology to investigate crustal evolution and ore-forming processes. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Cardiff University (UK) in isotopic geochemistry applied to Fe-Mn-rich sequences. He leads research on the metallogenesis of strategic minerals, particularly manganese, cobalt, graphite, and lithium. He has actively contributed to the Brazilian Geological Society, serving as president of several scientific events and promoting the advancement of geosciences.
