Dr. Xiaobo Li currently serves as an Associate Professor at the School of Marine Science and Technology (SMST in Tianjin University). He received his B.Sc. degree (July 2014) and M.Sc. degree (July 2016) from the School of Mathematics at Tianjin University. He started his Ph.D. study in September 2016 in the School of Precision Instrument & Opto-electronics Engineering at Tianjin University under the supervision of Prof. Tiegen Liu (chief supervisor) and Prof. Haofeng Hu (co-supervisor) and obtained his Ph.D. degree in July 2020. From November 2020 to June 2022, Dr. Li worked as a Research Associate in the Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. His main research interests include polarization optics (polarimetry and polarimetric imaging), oceanic optics and information, microscopy imaging and bioimaging, deep learning, and traditional signal processing.
