Yaseen Taha Mustafa is a specialist in applied remote sensing and geospatial analytics, with a Ph.D. from the Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC), University of Twente, The Netherlands (2012). He currently serves as the Head of the Applied Remote Sensing and GIS Center at the University of Zakho, Kurdistan Region, Iraq. Dr. Mustafa’s research focuses on integrating remote sensing, GIS, machine learning, spatial statistics, and Bayesian networks to address complex environmental and land-use challenges. He has led numerous interdisciplinary projects, authored peer-reviewed publications, and contributed extensively to capacity building in geospatial sciences across the region.
