Prof. Yong Zhao

Prof. Dr. Yong Michael Zhoa is currently a Professor at the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department, School of Engineering, Nazarbayev University. He received an MSc and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manchester in 1989 and 1992, respectively. His research interests include computational fluid dynamics–discrete element methods–fluid–structure interaction (CFD-DEM-FSI); hi-fidelity concurrent multidisciplinary design analysis and optimization (MDAO); biomechanics; and physics-informed neural network/physics-informed machine learning (PINN/PIML)-based simulation and renewable energy (Wind Energy).
