Yu Zuo received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Yanshan University, China, in 2018, the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), China, in 2021. Currently, he is working towards a PhD degree at the KU Leuven-EnergyVille Power Electronics research group, Department of Electrical Engineering(ESAT). He was the recipient of the Best Presentation Award at the IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition (APEC) in 2025, the Best Student Paper Award at the IEEE International Transportation Electrification Conference (ITEC) 2025, and was recognized as a Best Reviewer by the IEEE Industry Applications Society (IAS) Transportation Systems Committee in 2025. He serves as a reviewer for multiple leading IEEE journals, including IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, and IEEE Transactions on Transportation Electrification, etc. His research interests revolve around DC fast charging technology, and converter design and optimization with AI assitance.
