Zhen Zhen is an associate professor in the Department of Forest Management, School of Forestry, Northeast Forestry University (NEFU). Her undergraduate degree was in geographic information systems (GIS) at NEFU, and her graduate degree was in forest management at NEFU. She pursued her Ph.D. degree in forest resources management at the State of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY-ESF). She also obtained a concurrent MPS degree in Geospatial Information Science and Engineering at SUNY-ESF. From 2013 to the present, she has worked for NEFU and is responsible for three undergraduate courses and two graduate courses. She has also published 34 papers, one academic monograph, and two textbooks. Since 2013, she has managed seven projects as a PI and participated in several projects as a backbone member. Her current research interests include forestry remote sensing and GIS, temporal and spatial statistics, and artificial intelligence based on spatial data.
