Zhou Yu graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the Northwest Agriculture & Forestry University; Master in Clinical Veterinary Medicine from the Northwest Agriculture & Forestry University; M.D. in Pathology and Pathophysiology from the Fourth Military Medical University. He is the laboratory director at the Institute of plastic surgery of the PLA. He has published more than 100 papers in reputed journals. The main focus of his work is the mechanistic study of mechanical stretch in promoting tissue regeneration, wound repair, hypertrophic scars, and allogeneic composite tissue transplantation.
