Dr. Alfredo Fernández-Landa is the Chief Product Officer at the Detektia, Madrid, Spain. He is also an Expert in developing environmental applications based on information from remote sensors (LiDAR, RADAR, and Optical). He holds a Ph.D. in Remote Sensing from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. He has spent the last 10 years working both at the university and in R&D in private companies. He has extensive experience in the application of machine learning techniques in the analysis of satellite data time series. His primary areas of research interest include geomatics, mapping, satellite image analysis, satellite image processing, geoinformation, vegetation mapping, earth observation, land use modeling, geographic information systems, and land use management.
