Aldo Augusto López Martínez holds a degree in Mechatronics Technology, a Master's degree in Mechatronics Science and Technology, and a PhD in Mechanical Design from the Interinstitutional Postgraduate Program in Science and Technology at the Center for Industrial Engineering and Development (CIDESI). His academic and research activities include the publication of articles in high-impact scientific journals, as well as participation in book chapters and international conferences. He has also been involved in scientific outreach through social media, bringing science and technology to a wider audience. With more than 20 years of experience, Aldo has worked in several industrial sectors, participating in more than 100 projects in which he has integrated innovative technologies. His participation includes projects funded by funds such as the Innovation Incentive Program, the Mexican Space Agency, and the Frontier Science program. He has collaborated with national and international private sector companies. Aldo specializes in additive manufacturing, particularly in laser metal deposition, and in process monitoring using technologies such as high-speed cameras and optical pyrometry. He also excels in numerical simulation of discrete and continuous flows using CFD and in the development of mechanical and mechatronic systems, with a focus on mechanisms for motion synchronization and structural analysis applying FEM.
