A. Bystrov received MEng degree in Electronics in 1982 and PhD degree in Electronics in 2012 from the National Research University of Electronic Technology, Moscow, Russia. From 1983 to 2012 he worked in electronic industry and information technology companies in Russia and Lithuania. Since 2012, he was a Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham and participated in a number of research projects on the development of radar, sonar and video sensors for the automotive industry. Since 2017 he is a Manager of Terahertz Measurement Facility at the University of Birmingham. The area of his research interests includes digital signal processing algorithms, terahertz measurements, and machine learning methods.
