Dr. Saleem S. AlSaleem has more than 20 years of consulting, academic, and research experience on water and wastewater treatment and recycling, focusing on conventional and advanced treatment processes, water-quality management, water-resources management, and ground-water pollution and remediation. In addition, he is interested in the field of integrated solid-waste management. He has developed a reliability model that can, and does, provide a quantitative prediction of the performance of wastewater-treatment plants and can be used to estimate mean values of effluent-quality parameters during the designing of wastewater treatment plants with specified reliability levels and to establish and revise water-reuse quality criteria. Moreover, he investigated the usability of ionic liquids for extraction and destruction of refractory organics from water using superoxide radical ions. He has published research articles in international journals of high repute.
