After receiving her master degree in Industrial Engineering, Summa cum Laude, from University of Udine and a working period with Andersen Consulting SpA for the development of logistics software systems, she got her PhD degree in Industrial Engineering from University of Padua. She is currently associate professor in Industrial Systems Engineering at University of Udine. Main research topics: optimization models for sustainable production planning and logistics (special focus on energy-efficient design and management of automated warehouses and cold transports); energy systems optimization; energy recovery; industrial symbiosis.
