Amrit Das received a BS and MS in Mathematics from the National Institute of Technology, Agartala, and the ICFAI University, Tripura. He received a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the National Institute of Technology, Agartala and he worked as a postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Industrial Engineering at Pusan National University. Presently he is working as an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at the Vellore Institute of Technology in Vellore, India. His research interests include solid transportation problems, fuzzy theory, mathematical programming, and disaster management.
