Prof. Dr. Andrés Santos is a Professor of Theoretical Physics at the Departamento de Física, Universidad de Extremadura, Badajoz, Spain. He earned a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, and Ph.D. at the University of Seville (Spain) in 1978, 1979, and 1983. He was a Graduate Teaching and Research Assistant at the University of Seville from 1979 to 1982, a Teaching Assistant from 1982 to 1984, and a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Florida from 1984 to 1985. He was a Visiting Scientist at the Modeling and Simulation of Complex Molecular Systems, University of Pannonia, in 2024 and at the Yukawa Institute for Theoretical Physics, Kyoto University, in 2019. He earned an Excellence Prize in Teaching Trajectory from the University of Extremadura in 2020. His research interests include liquid state theory, kinetic theory, granular gases, and statistical physics.
