María de los Ángeles Medina Quesada was born in Jaén, Spain. She obtained a BS in Electrical Technical Engineering in 1998 at the University of Granada (Spain), and after that, she obtained the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees at the University of Jaén in 2004 and 2008, respectively. In 1990, she became an Associate Professor of the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Jaén, and has been working as a professor since 1995. Her main research interest concerns renewable energy. She was the main responsible for two innovative educational projects at the University of Jaén.
