Dr. A B M Arif Hasan Khan Robin is a Professor of Genetics and Plant Breeding at Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh. He has in excess of 20 years of teaching and research experience in the field of Plant Breeding, PlantBiotechnology, Molecular Genetics and Genomics. Prof. Robin obtained Bachelor degree in Agriculture and MS in Genetics and Plant Breeding fromBangladesh Agricultural University. He achieved prestigious Vice-Chancellor’sDoctoral Scholarship at Massey University in New Zealand to complete PhD degree in Plant Science between 2007 and 2011. Later, he conducted postdoctoral research for three years between 2015 and 2017 at SunchonNational University in South Korea in the field of Molecular Genetics and Genomics. Dr. Robin started his teaching career at the Department of Genetics and PlantBreeding in September 2004 as a lecturer and subsequently promoted to Professor in 2015. He worked as a Head of the Department of Genetics and Plant Breeding from 2018 to 2019. He also worked as a founder Head of the Department of Agrometeorology of Bangladesh Agricultural University from 2022 to 2023. Prof. Robin executed a remarkable number of research projects those focus to developing high-yielding, short-duration and stress-tolerant crop varieties. Dr. Robin published nearly 100 research articles in the internationally recognized, high-impact journals.  He is the Editorial Board Member of ‘BMC Plant Biology’ and reviewer of many reputed journals.
