I am a Bioinformatics Scientist at Boston Children’s Hospital, working in the Informatics services - Research computing group. My research focuses on processing and analysis of various next-generation sequencing (NGS) data. I did my doctorate in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology from Iowa State University and have a background in bioinformatics and computational biology, with the specific training of processing and analyzing NGS datasets and building statistical and machine learning models. As a bioinformatics scientist, I have experience working independently and collaboratively in a group that has produced several peer-reviewed publications. While working with the My Pediatric and Adult Rare Tumor (MyPART) team at National Cancer Institute, I carry out the processing and analysis of the multi-omics data from various endocrine cancers to identify dysregulated pathways and important driver genes. In addition to that, I was also involved in the development of various bioinformatics tools and data processing pipelines.
