Objective. To evaluate the efficacy of low-intensity laser radiation in rehabilitation treatment of patients undergoing radical treatment for head and neck tumors. Material and methods. The study included 134 patients (39 (29.1%) men, 95 (70, 9%) women), aged from 23 to 78 years old, with an average age of 54.24±12.7 years. Three groups were formed: Group 1 — 45 patients who received the traditional complex of rehabilitation treatment, which includes physical exercise, massage, and drug therapy, without using low-intensity laser radiation; Group 2 — 45 patients who received the traditional complex of rehabilitation treatment in combination with low-intensity laser radiation; Group 3 — 44 patients who underwent only a few low-intensity laser irradiation courses as a rehabilitation treatment. The impact on the tissues of the shoulder joint and cervico-supraclavicular region was carried out by radiation with a wavelength of 660 nm and 970 nm using a matrix radiation source. The course of treatment was 10 treatment sessions lasting 10 minutes. During the first year after radical treatment, the course of laser therapy was repeated every 3 months. In the course of the study, indicators of the patient’s subjective assessment of changes occurring with them were studied, depending on the method of rehabilitation used, as well as the restoration of range of motion in the shoulder joint on the side of the operation and the function of soft tissues in the shoulder joint on the radical treatment side. Results. Against the background of the treatment, an improvement in the condition of patients was recorded in the form of a decrease in the severity of motor and sensory disorders. Conclusion. Complex rehabilitation treatment with the obligatory use of low-intensity laser radiation provides an improvement in the function of the peripheral nervous system and blood circulation, which, in turn, allows not only to restore the function of these organs, but also to generally improve the quality of life of patients.

Augmented reality (AR) is gaining increasing relevance in maxillofacial reconstructive surgery by enabling the integration of digital preoperative planning into the real-time surgical field. This systematic review analyzes current studies on the use of AR in fibula osteotomies, perforator flap harvesting, auricular reconstruction, and zygomatic-orbital complex repair. Special attention is paid to hologram registration methods, types of devices (HMDs, tablets), and accuracy of virtual navigation. Key technical limitations are outlined, including image instability and depth perception issues. AR systems demonstrate comparable accuracy to CAD/CAM templates and offer additional advantages such as intraoperative plan adjustments without compromising sterility. The findings support the potential of AR as a tool for personalized surgical navigation, provided that current technological barriers are addressed.

Nowadays, doctors of almost all specializations have to deal with patients who have one or another voluminous formations of the skin and subcutaneous tissue with localization in the head and neck region, which are heterogeneous in their etiology. It’s important to remember that sometimes neoplasms can turn out to be a manifestation of an infectious disease, in particular helminthosis. One of the representatives from this group of diseases is dyrofilariasis, is a zoonotic transmissible tropical helminth disease caused by roundworms – filarias of the genus Dirofilaria, which parasitize in humans mainly in the subcutaneous tissue and lymphatic system. A single filariasis of the Dirofilaria repens type is found in humans in temperate regions of Russia. Generally, dirofilariosis imitates the clinical picture of some other non-parasitic disease. Because of the lack of awareness of this disease among doctors, the process of making a diagnosis is almost always difficult. Often the correct diagnosis is only made during surgical treatment. The article presents a clinical observation of dirofilariosis with lesions subcutaneous tissue of the dorsum nose.

Introduction. Skin cancer is the most common type among the cancer statistics. It accounts up to 14.2 % of all types of cancer. Basal cell cancer (BCC) is the most common among the skin cancers. Despite the possibilities of using different types of treatment BCC the long-term results are infavorable-the relapse rates are still high and cosmetic results are unsufficient. Using the local chemotherapy is alternative method of headneck BCC treatment. The study objective. Efficency analysis of using «Glycifon» as a local chemotherapy drug for headneck BCC. Materials and methods. The study included 24 patients with headneck BCC who underwent local chemotherapy with "Glycifon" drug. 18 (75 %) patients had primary tumors, 6 (25 %) - relapsed tumors. 7 (29.2 %) patients had multicentre BCC. All patients received local chemotherapy by "Glycifon" according to recommended instructions.Results. 79.2 % of patients had full regress of BCC after "Glycifon" local chemotherapy. Medium follow up time was 11.5 month. 2 patients (8.35) had to interrupt the treatment but for the intensive pain after the drug application. Other patients finished the therapy satisfactorily. No toxic reactions were observed. Inflammatory reactions in application zones were moderate and easily fixed. All patients who finished the therapy (100 %) we satisfied about the cosmetic results.Conclusion. Usage of "Glycifon" drug for local chemotherapy of headneck DCC is effective, safe and cosmetic satisfied method. Possibility of using "Glycifon" in ambulatory treatment reduce the total medical economic costs.
