In recent years, there has been an increasing interest in medicines produced on the basis of medicinal plant raw materials. Information about the concentration of elements by medicinal plants and substances allows us to see a new aspect of their practical application, to identify new medicinal properties. In this regard, the comparative study of the elemental composition of strawberry leaves and dry strawberry leaf extract is of practical interest for the further development of dosage forms and the formation of scientific justification for their use in medical practice.

Introduction. Environmental monitoring is an important area of modern scientific research. This is due to the anthropogenic impact on the environment, which often negatively affects the diversity of the Russian medicinal flora. The use of modern instrumental analytical methods of medicinal plant raw materials is relevant due to the intensive development of science. The content of heavy metals, the elemental composition and the level of background radiation are important characteristics of ecological purity and safety of medicinal plant raw materials. These characteristics are of interest for assessing the possibility of harvesting and using medicinal plants at localization. The generally accepted instructions for harvesting were used.Aim. Investigation of the possibilities of using X-ray fluorescence and radiation methods for environmental monitoring of medicinal plant raw materials.Materials and methods. The research object was Achilleae millefolii herba. The harvestment of plant raw materials was carried out in the Bardymsky, Chernushinsky, Uinsky, Kishertsky, Oktyabrsky, Suksunsky, Ordinsky, Sivinsky districts of the Perm Region in the summer in 2022–2023. The X-ray fluorescence analyzer (XFA) ARL QUANT'X EDXRF was used to determine heavy metals and assess the elemental composition of plants. The analysis was carried out according to the methodology that was developed by scientists of the Pharmacognosy Department at the Perm State Pharmaceutical Academy. The radiation background in raw materials was assessed by using a special dosimeter RADEX RD1503.Results and discussion. As a result, it was found that harvesting of Achilleae millefolii herba is possible in the Perm Region studied areas. Bardymsky, Uinsky, Kishertsky, Ordinsky, Chernushinsky districts are the most recommended for harvesting plant raw materials. Samples from these areas are ecological purity and safe for use as medicinal raw materials and have a diverse elemental composition. The content of heavy metals does not exceed the maximum permissible concentrations according to the regulatory documentation requirements. The background radiation level does not exceed the threshold value compared to other areas in the Russian Federation.Conclusion. X-ray fluorescence analysis is a suitable and reliable analytical method for determining elements in plant raw materials. XFA is a multi-element express method that allows analyzing a sample with minimal sample preparation. The advantages of the method are good reproducibility, high sensitivity, and efficiency. Research continues.

Introduction. Strawberry garden leaf extract dry (strawberry extract) is one of the potential substances for obtaining safe medicines for the treatment of diseases of the urinary tract, as it has diuretic and anti–inflammatory activity. The study of chronic toxicity is a mandatory step in the preclinical assessment of the safety of a new pharmacological substance.Aim. Preclinical studies of the chronic toxicity of the substance – strawberry extract.Materials and methods. The object of the study was strawberry extract obtained at JSC "Biohimmash". The study of the chronic toxicity of strawberry extract with prolonged administration to rats was carried out in the Laboratory of Medicinal Toxicology of the All-Russian Research Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants in accordance with the "Guidelines for Experimental (Preclinical) Study of new pharmacological Substances" [1]. Laboratory animals were divided into three groups of 15 rats each: group I – control (water); group II – strawberry extract at a dose of 72 mg/kg; group III – strawberry extract – 720 mg/kg.Results and discussion. As a result of a 3-month experiment, it was found that strawberry extract with intragastric administration does not cause the death of animals and does not have a general toxic effect. Also, strawberry extract with intragastric application shows a stable diuretic effect and its preservation during a three-month experiment.Conclusion. Thus, the chronic toxicity of strawberry extract was studied. It was found that strawberry extract does not have a general toxic effect. The conducted research shows the prospects for further research on the development and production of medicines from strawberry leaves with dry extract, which have diuretic and anti-inflammatory activity.

In recent years increase in production of complex medicines on the basis of the medicinal vegetable raw materials enriched or fermented by the bacterial cul-tures playing an essential role in functioning of a mi-crobiota and, respectively, maintenance of human health is noted. Such medicines are capable to nor-malize effectively the physiological status of a macro-organism that is very important for athletes who need restoration after intensive physical activities. Successful experience of use of water extraction of oats of recovery process, sowing as means, confirms expediency of creation and application of joint com-positions with pro-biotic cultures. The research in vitro of influence of this vegetable substance on cul-tural properties of production strains lakto-and the bifidobacteria allocated from the person allows to estimate qualitatively and quantitatively prebiotic effect of oats sowing and compatibility of potential components of the complex medicines possessing adaptogens and pro-biotic action.
