Andrea Verenice Basantes Andrade earned, from the Universidad Técnica del Norte (Ecuador), a BS in Computer Systems Engineering and a PhD in Education within the Knowledge Society program from the University of Salamanca (2020), where she was awarded the Extraordinary Doctorate Award. She also holds a Master’s degree in Technologies for Educational Management and Practice from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador and a Master’s in Distance Education–E-learning from the Caribbean International University, Willemstad-Curaçao. She is now a Professor and Researcher (Principal 1) at the Universidad Técnica del Norte. Her work in educational technology and e-learning has resulted in over 80 publications, including peer-reviewed articles, books, book chapters, and conference proceedings. Her research interests include e-learning, educational innovation, digital media in education, instructional design, and technology integration in higher education.
